Does anyone else enjoy musical theatre; opera, operetta, musicals?
I'm not so much into watching films, though some are great, but we have some brilliant am/dram groups around us who do lots of musicals among their repertoire. One of the groups also put on an 'Old Time Music Hall' evening which was fun
We also have a Gilbert and Sullivan society - I love their work, the lyrics are very clever and the tunes catchy. Many of their tunes are familiar from childhood as my grandfather, who had an excellent voice, used to sing quite large chunks.
Looking forward to hearing about anyone else's experiences are part of cast or audience
